Sigh..
I haven't posted in forever, and it seems like I only get the urge when things get truly shitty. *shrug*
So not only did I get broken up with this week, I found out Wednesday the Monkey is diabetic.
This meant a two night stay in the hospital for her. I was there all day yesterday (she spends most of the week with her dad and stepmom now). I learned how to properly dose her before she eats, how to give her the injections, test her blood, what to look for, etc. I'm exhausted. She's fine. We caught it early. The only thing that bothers her really is the fingerprick and she even forgets about that after a little while.
So yeah.. that's about it really. Shitty week. I may drink.

Observations..
I went through the Burger King drive through the other day, and behind the counter were two sweet little old ladies, and that made me sad. Sweet little old ladies should not have to work at Burger King.

the AC unit in our office has been rattling something fierce, so the handy-guy came in today to look at it..
omg.
he pulled something out and set it on the desk.. it was a frigging mouse head!! A mouse got himself stuck in the fan and was decapitated. EWWWWWW. I'm wigging now, knowing just what was making that racket. Of course, the AC is now perfectly silent.
buh.

I have never been so happy to be outdoors as I have been this past week, just sitting in the center of Monument Square, soaking up sun and watching and listening. The people who frequent the square are fascinating, scary, funny and sometimes all three.
An old man approached me the other day as I was sitting drinking a smoothie from Dunkin' Donuts, and said "You're a cutie". I thanked him, and he repeated it again. It's nice to know that should things ever truly get desperate, I can probably hook myself a daft old man in a wheelchair.
Mood: peaceful

I am *finally* employed.
I found a job doing Tier 2 tech support. A little less than I made at Pulte initally, but more if I'm hired on permanently.
Rent is still very late, but at least I have hope of paying it some day.

I'm in Maine.
And the outlook is bleak.
I got charged $1000 by my old apartment for cleaning shit out I couldn't move, etc (my own fault entirely, but meh).
My car payment is 31 days late, and unless I western union them the money, I get repossessed. This is in thanks to the money I paid the surgeon for the gastric band not actually putting through my debit card until 6 months after I swiped it. The bank said they had no recourse. I had to move $500 in the hole, so my car payment of course didn't go through.
Rent is due the 1st. I still don't have work.
I have $150 in cash and a $75 check from my old power company. And that's it.
The only real good thing is that Monkey is deliriously happy spending every weekend with her father.
What the fuck was I thinking?

On the road again...
OK so for those of you not in the know, today is my last day at work.
I'm really conflicted. I'm going to miss the people here (maybe not the job itself so much) but I do like working here and it's good pay. I'm taking a real crapshoot by moving home without anything solid.
Oh, yeah, I'm driving back to Maine on Saturday. 3000 miles. I'm stopping in Elk City, OK overnight, which is halfway between here and my Mom's house in Springfield, IL. Hopefully I can get that far, I'm driving a 10' uhaul truck and towing my car. The gas is going to be astronomical (and I don't have enough for the whole trip right now..) I have enough to get to Mom's house, and she will let me borrow the rest, hopefully.
This will be quite the experience with Monkey in the passenger's seat, and a pissed off cat who hates her harness in a cat carrier in between us. And snax. Lots of snax.
If you want to call to offer encouragement, my cell number is 602-684-8008 :) I'll update as often as I can so people know we're still moving.

You are The Wheel of Fortune
Good fortune and happiness but sometimes a species of intoxication with success
The Wheel of Fortune is all about big things, luck, change, fortune. Almost always good fortune. You are lucky in all things that you do and happy with the things that come to you. Be careful that success does not go to your head however. Sometimes luck can change.
What Tarot Card are You? Take the Test to Find Out.

Newest Monkey-ism: She was petting the cat and said, "Suki needs to have babies". I said, "She can't". Monkey asked, "Why? She doesn't have a license?"

A DJ is me again!
This time, it's for this radio station: http://www.hooahradio.com
I stumbled across it when a good friend who knows the station owner told me about it. I was all, "Oooh need a DJ??" and that was pretty much it :) My first show is this Saturday from 2pm to 4pm Arizona time. Can't wait!

Special Diet Day 1: T-~30 days and counting
So this diet the surgeon put me on is interesting.. I have to get at least 60 to 80g of protein every day, have to eat 6 times a day and get at least 15 minutes of aerobic exercize in a day. 2 weeks before surgery I have to be on an entirely liquid diet. THAT'S going to be fun. It's to shrink my liver mmmm liver.
No caffeine, no carbonation, no alcohol... I got in pretty much everything I'll never be able to eat again over the weekend.
I had a protein shake for breakfast today, I bought the EAS brand of protein that has like, 23g of protein per serving. That's what I'll be living on once I get to the liquid part of the diet ( I may buy some Slim-Fast for some variety).
For the liquid-only part, I can only have:
Broth sugar-free popsicles sugar-free jello propel/fruit2-0 crystal light water skim milk in my protein shakes sugar-free pudding with skim milk.
No juice, no fruit or yogurt.
Yikes. At least groceries will be very, very cheap :D
